My First Experience with Snow

I enjoy traveling and going to new places. I've been to many different places in my life span already, but in all my travels I have never experience snow yet. The only time I have experienced snow was when I saw it in pictures, and I always thought with snow comes extremely cold weather. In my mind I told myself one day in my life I would have to experience and reach snow whether it be just taking in the view or snowboarding.

Recently the opportunity to travel to Lake Tahoe where snow was all over the place. This trip got me very excited because I would finally be able to feel and see snow for the first time in my life. This trip would also let me experience snow boarding for the first time in my life too To prepare for this epic trip, i went all out buying a new jacket, pants, gloves, goggles, etc. knowing that it would be cold while i was either outside or snowboarding around.

While on the trip to Lake Tahoe, I felt the cold from outside that finally crept into the car and had me invigorated. The view was very beautiful with tons on snow all around along with snow on the trees, left me at a peaceful state of mind.

When I finally got the Lake Tahoe, I stayed at North Star, a snowboarding area. After arriving, I would get right into snowboarding. Snowboarding for my first time was very fun and exhilarating but also a very painful sport. While snowboarding i would fall quite often, but still get right back up. There were also a good number of other skiers and snowboarders that were much younger then me that would ask me if I was alright. Those situations would make me get back up quicker because I saw that these kids that were at least 10 years younger then me were so good.

The experience of snowboarding and the other people who would stop made me feel as if people all over no matter language they spoke or skin color they were or what skill level still stop and make sure I was alright. I highly recommend that everyone try snow boarding once in there life because it is certainly something that shouldn't be missed. It would also help to be in a pretty health because the sport of snowboarding takes a lot out of you and is very punishing and exhausting, but more importantly
fun.
